DRY OUTLOOK, COOLER COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE HEAT RETURNS! Good evening everyone. Well we have had another very warm day about the region again today. Many areas reaching or topping the 30 degree mark by mid morning! Those of you wanting rain, it isnt looking to promising. In-fact, we expect cooler conditions over the next couple of day before another heat-wave at the end of this week and for the weekend. Tomorrow: Morning low cloud clears to a mainly fine day with light winds. Afternoon easterly breezes developing about the coast. A few late showers possible about the far North Canterbury Foothills. High 19-20 degrees Wednesday: Often cloudy, with some patchy morning drizzle possible. Cool southerly winds. High 17-18 degrees. Thursday: Morning low cloud, then fine. Afternoon north-easterly popping up. High 20 degrees. Friday: Fine weather with northerly quarter winds. High 26-27 degrees. Saturday and Sunday: Fine with areas of harmless high cloud. Gusty North to northwest conditions with very warm temperatures. Highs 28-32. So to wrap it up, a largely dry week ahead and long range data suggests another high rolling in for the beginning of next week bringing more settled weather.
