Daily CW10 Spot for 5/27/14 Hey gang! Here’s some thoughts/news items/musings. TONIGHT ON 10 7pm - THE ORIGINALS KLAUS MIKAELSON, THE ORIGINAL VAMPIRE/WEREWOLF HYBRID, RETURNS TO NEW ORLEANS IN THIS SPIN-OFF OF “THE VAMPIRE DIARIES” — Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), the original vampire-werewolf hybrid, has returned to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans – the city his family helped build 300 years ago. Determined to help his brother, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) leaves their sister Rebekah (Claire Holt) behind and follows Klaus. Elijah learns that the beautiful and rebellious werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) – Klaus’ onetime flame – has fallen into the hands of a powerful witch named Sophie Deveraux (Daniella Pineda). When Sophie reveals some life-changing news, Elijah realizes that the Original family may have been given a second chance at humanity and redemption. Klaus, however, is more intrigued by his recent unexpected reunion with his former protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), a charismatic but diabolical vampire who now has total control over the supernatural inhabitants of New Orleans. Klaus vows to reclaim what was once his – the power, the city and his family. 8pm - SUPERNATURAL FALLEN ANGELS — Dean (Jensen Ackles) is frantic after Sam (Jared Padalecki) collapses and the doctor tells Dean his brother won’t make it. Desperate, Dean sends out an all points bulletin via prayer to every angel in the area, asking them to help his brother. In exchange, Dean will owe that angel a favor. Numerous angry angels race to find and kill Dean, but one, Ezekiel (guest star Tahmoh Penikett), gets to him first. Meanwhile, Sam fights to stay alive and must face some familiar demons to do so. Castiel (Misha Collins) struggles to survive without powers. - Tweets of the Day! The Originals - Elijah realizes his family has been given a second chance at redemption on #TheOriginals, tonight at 8/7c. Supernatural - Dean makes a questionable deal to save his brother on #Supernatural, tonight at 9/8c. TOMORROW!!! ARROW FROM VIGILANTE TO HERO — Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) travel to Lian Yu in search of Oliver (Stephen Amell) who left Starling City after The Undertaking. Convinced to return home, Oliver finds that things are in worse shape than he thought – Isabel Rochev (guest star Summer Glau) is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, Thea (Willa Holland) refuses to visit Moira (Susanna Thompson) in jail, Roy (Colton Haynes) is trying to fill the void left by the Arrow’s absence, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is working with the District Attorney’s office to take down the vigilante. Meanwhile, flashbacks to the island show Slade (Manu Bennett), Shado (guest star Celina Jade) and Oliver in a desperate situation. ALL NEW THE 100 KILL OR BE KILLED — With a low food supply at camp, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Finn (Thomas McDonell) lead a group out to hunt for food and wind up in a compromising position. With Finn’s life in danger, Clarke makes a game-changing decision. Meanwhile, Raven (guest star Lindsey Morgan) makes Bellamy (Bob Morley) an offer he can’t refuse. On the Ark – Kane risks his life and is reunited with Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington) and Abby (Paige Turco). - CW in the Press: Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100) is on the May cover of Bello magazine. The Hollywood Reporter is… well reporting the Vampire Diaries is bringing back a favorite...Matt Davis will return as a series regular on the sixth season. - Summer Update Including All-New Reality and Magic Series, the Return of “Beauty and The Beast” and Two New Scripted Comedies. On Monday, June 2, the hilarious improv comedy WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? moves to its new night, with original episodes at 7:00-7:30 pm, followed by an encore episode of WHOSE LINE at 7:30-8:00 pm. The romantic drama BEAUTY AND THE BEAST returns with original episodes 8:00-9:00 pm. All-new reality docuseries FAMOUS IN 12 premieres Tuesday, June 3 (7:00-8:00 pm). FAMOUS IN 12 is an unscripted series/social experiment that will film one fame-seeking family around the clock for 12 weeks straight. The family will be guided by the TMZ machine, which will create a series of opportunities for them. TMZ and Harvey Levin will help, and additional experts will be brought in throughout the course of the series to provide input and guidance on the path to fame, but it is up to the family to pull it off. Throughout their 12-week quest, the family will circulate through some of Los Angeles’ most populated – and popular – venues in order to seize opportunities that might come calling. The original half-hour comedy BACKPACKERS premieres Monday, July 14 (7:30-8:00 pm), following all-new episodes of WHOSE LINE. Originally created as a digital series for The CWs digital studio, CW Seed, BACKPACKERS, follows best friends Ryan (Noah Reid, “Titanic”) and Brandon (Dillon Casey, “Nikita”) as they race across Europe in search of Ryans missing bride-to-be, while also struggling with the eternal twenty-something question of what to do with their lives. When Ryan’s lost journal suddenly gets posted online and explodes across the internet, Ryans life dream of becoming a published author becomes real – if only he can track down the jerk who stole the journal. With Brandons slacker brother Andrew (Giacomo Gianniotti, “Reign”) in tow, they travel from Thailand to Canada in search of the missing journal, while also seeking the ultimate answers to life, love and partying. The half-hour comedy SEED premieres Monday, July 14 (8:30-9:00 pm), following encore episodes of WHOSE LINE. From the creative team of Joseph Raso (“Zombies & Cheerleaders”) and award-winning writer/producer Mark Farrell (“This Hour Has 22 Minutes,” “Made in Canada,” “Corner Gas”), SEED tells the story of Harry (Adam Korson), a single, underachieving bachelor/bartender who is also a sperm donor. Harry reluctantly begins a relationship with three unique and separate recipient families – a laid-back lesbian couple with a 9-year-old son, a neurotically hopeful single mom-to-be, and an uptight, upper-class family with a rebellious teenage daughter – with whom he’ll come to share more than just his DNA. On PENN & TELLER: FOOL US, premiering Wednesday, July 30 (7:00-8:00 pm), aspiring magicians are invited to perform their best trick to try and fool the world-famous team of Penn & Teller. Anyone who succeeds wins the right to perform with Penn & Teller in their celebrated show at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The live studio audience and the TV audience watch along with Penn & Teller as they try to figure out the secrets. Penn and Teller see the trick only once and have to immediately try to work it out. The live studio audience knows there are no camera tricks, secret edits or helpful camera cuts. This is all real magic. Hosted by actor Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”), MASTERS OF ILLUSION premieres Friday, August 1 (7:00-7:30 pm) with great escapes, fascinating sleight-of-hand and large scale illusions, all in front of a studio audience. The Carnival starts at 10:00 AM and runs until 2:00 PM. The Under 8 Kids Race which is free starts at 9:30 while the 5k & 10K races start at 10:00 AM. Registration forms are available on line at EHQEF.weebly. Print out the registrations and all entries will be accepted the day of the event.
