Daily Fire: Thur. 26th June, 2014 Our Text: Gen 18:23-26 “And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city… And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” Our Focus: GOD CAN SPARE THE CITY FOR OUR SAKE Beware today, for your sake God can avert an impending evil over a land. God will turn his wrath away on this land because of you. Let me share this experience with you briefly, I remembered in my primary school, one day a teacher came to our class and found all the class was too noisy, he decided to punish all of us, but as soon as he set his eyes on me, he became very reluctant to carry out his intention. Because, he loved me so much, so he changed his mind and forgave all the class. You see, if our lives can be very pleasing to God, he can change some imminent disasters for our sake. The beloved of God can make him suspend His judgment on a land. I prophesy today for your sake God will suspend His judgment on that land. The evil that would have happened will not happen because of His love for you. Our Prayer: Father, let your love for me conceal every evil you intended for this land, because I’m here, let your mercy flow. Don’t destroy the righteous with the wicked!
