Daily Texts – Thursday, January 23, 2014 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. Psalm 145:13 God has made know to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. Ephesians 1:9-10 If you doubt sometimes whether eternal salvation is real and is for you, consider this: It is a beautiful thing when someone has a great plan, the resources to execute that plan, and the will to see that plan to its fruition. It was God’s plan to bring into our reality the greatest gifts of forgiveness, new life, and eternal life. God has eternal and unlimited resources to accomplish this plan. And, at just the right time, the will of God set in motion his plan in Christ Jesus. If you need one more proof, you can always count on what gives God pleasure. Like us, God seeks his own pleasure. We call it the pleasure principle. It brings God eternal and unlimited pleasure to raise us unto eternal salvation. God has the eternal and unlimited resources to fulfill his pleasure. And remember, dear one, that you are certainly included in the all things in heaven and on earth that God has gathered up to himself.
