Dan Malloy was re-elected in November of 2014 he was first elected in 2010 with a strong urban vote among African Americans and Latinos. In 2012 Chris Murphy was elected to the U.S. Senate with a strong African American and Latino vote from cities across Connecticut but there was always something special about the center of the universe so the NAACP State Convention was being held there, event-though the local branch was not in compliance and therefore legally could not host the local convention and had no delegates. But the big guys were coming into the city just before the big state elections were taking place. The problem with me is I have always looked at the NAACP as non-partisan and its agenda was purely about the injustices inflicted on my people not any political party so It was a problem for all them in Waterbury. Because the Black Democratic Club was the NAACP and I just happened to be registered as a republican but it made no difference to me. I hope many of you have been following my story in Waterbury because we are surely the central of the universe when it comes to many of our people who still suffer from a slave mentality and they come in all colors believe me!!
