David Polzin I know I was in gib town broke no food no money had to go to Ruskin to pick tomatos got 13.00 for all day picking hitch a ride to tampa worked at man power places at that time payed about 2.25 cents hour worked at night so I could sleep during day in man power place took shower at church homeless place. one night I did get a room to sleep in it had rats and people trying to rob me I stayed in a motel type homeless place to get thankgiving meal then I went back to work on getting money for bus ticket back to Wisconsin back then very few people in gib town at club all I did was watch tv and went to ward hall place I knew few people there from bill hames shows I did winter carnival work down there I got 5.00 tear down and 10.00 I think for driving I worked in game at night and at man power place during day time I met few people on the lot we were playing from Michigan they had all kinds of money I asked them how they were making so much money they said rolling queers in the parks they would not call cops I looked all around fl. and talked to lot of carnival people and most were in the same boat. I was never so happy to save the money up to get on the gray hound to Wisconsin I stayed in gib town until after Christmas I helped hand out food to people in need I found out lot more in need than just me 13 minutes ago · Like.. David Polzin also back then there was no pc. i tried getting unemployment from show i worked for all summer in Michigan and all i got from unemployment office was they could not find records of me ever working for that show or them ever paying in and when i went to file taxes found out that this show never payed in then i found out hard way lot of shows never put in money for unemployment or taxs they took money out of your pay each week but never payed in
