Day -4, as you have already seen, today has been a rough day for Kenzie. A day of no food, only IV liquids, and lots of meds to help nausea and pain. Her last dose of chemo will be Monday morning at 4am. She starts the anti-rejection drug tomorrow (Sunday). It is a medicine made from rabbit serum and they tell us she will definitely be one sick lil girl. She has to take it for the next three days. Kenzie does have one request for you all. On Wednesday, will you please wear your Karing for Kenzie shirts, take pics, and post to her page for her to see? Wednesday is the transplant day and what she refers to as her new birthday. She will now have 3 to celebrate. She has earned the following beads today: overnight bead, 5 chemo beads, one infusion bead (one for Thursday and Friday as well for her Heparin), 2 antibiotic beads. If I forgot any, I will update later. As you close your day and begin anew tomorrow, cherish your health and your children along with their health. May God bless each and everyone of you.
