Day 14:(thank you Pastor Bowman for stirring my soul to start on 7 which moved me to 8 and Holy Spirit for revelation) I am sooooo thankful that Romans 7 (scripture below) is not the end of the story but just the beginning. Paul did not put chapter breaks in his letter and personally I think the end of 7 and the beginning of 8 was a terrible place to put one. i have drawn a bridge in my Bible between the two. You see I am sooo thankful that once I realize the state I am in oh wretched man for I want to do right, I want to be holy as God is holy I want to be righteous with God BUT I cant because I still live in this nasty dirty sinful old flesh nature. Now this is a dilemma! Jesus said I have to follow him, Jesus said his sheep follow his commands but seven says even Paul couldnt do it. Well, I am hopeless for if Paul couldnt I cant for sure. What a cruel trick to play! Ask me to do the impossible:( And then comes 8!!!! Glorious, powerful, life changing, transformaton, saintifcation, beyond myself, thank you God, I knew you would give me a way out, soul saving 8!!!! It is the Holy Spirit living in us, speaking through us, thinking with us, guiding us that does it for us. It is the crucifying of self that makes it possible (take up YOUR cross and follow me, death to the flesh. Nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ now lives within me.) Sooooo the hard part is killing your flesh. What kill myself? Not the physical body BUT the flesh nature that controls me. And I dont even have to do that. God said put it on the alter. Jesus said take MY yoke upon you. God said he would always give us a way out!! Death to the flesh! Free at last free at last. Is that possible???? Paul writes 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. If it were not so he would not have said so. Let all men be a liar but God be the truth! Come on church rise up above the flesh. We have victory in Jesus. We need his power in our lives more than ever. Awake and rise up! We can walk after the spirit! I double dog dare you to say hello to the Holy Spirit tonight. (A he not an it) and dont be shocked when he answers back:) the Bible says he will lead you into all truth. He is the spirit of God. He is grieved when we ignor him as though he is not there. He is that still small voice that you sometimes hear and you think you have a choice to obey but there is no rebellion in the kingdom of God, it is not a choice but a command. The more you obey the louder he speaks. And when you constantly disobey he will stop speaking. Now if he has guided this writing as I pray he has you can spiritually see why I am soooo EXCITED that 7 is just the beginning of the story. Its like the cross is just the beginning but oh what a rest of the srory resurrection!!!!! We need to be resurrected!!!! With Christ in the newness of his spirit! Have you been resurrected???? Or are you still stuck in chapter 7. Its time to move on to chapter 8. If the Holy Spirit is drawing you please feel free to message me or get on your knees and message God:) I was an old sinner, I am a saint being saintified by grace. (You would have me call the Holy Spirit living inside me anything less than saint?) Romans 7:24-25 KJV O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
