Day 15 “God is In Trouble (Along with You)” “He will call - TopicsExpress

Day 15 “God is In Trouble (Along with You)” “He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” Feeling alone is a horrible situation. It implies a lack of companionship; absence of interaction with a compassionate other. Unaddressed this feeling can become the pathway toward depression and despair. The feeling of aloneness is again one of those emotional places that will appear along our life journey. Inevitable! So, don’t pretend that it is not there. It is precisely in these moments that we need to seek for support or resources that will help us out. The psalm actually says that we will call to Him, God will respond. It those moments of loneliness, we must learn to call on the Lord and He will act. Note the verse, God responds by being with us in times of trouble. This is the concept of presence. Having someone present during times of trouble can initiate the deliverance needed. Having someone present can stop the downslide toward depression and despair. Having someone present can wake us toward a healthy recovery. God is in our trouble. In Isaiah 41:10 we find that God is with us to strengthen, help and uphold. One of my favorite passages reminds me that even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He will be with me. So when this portion says that God will be with us in trouble and will deliver and honor us, we can fully believe it and trust Him to do exactly that. In our times of trouble, God will be there. God is with you in trouble!
