Day 2: Hopefully your day yesterday went well and you found some useful points in the post. Today I would recommend a nice relaxing Sunday and visit some of the many Galleries on Achill, in the fear of offending someone by leaving them out I shouldnt start naming, but.... The Little Art Studio is a must see, on the grounds of the Bervie Guesthouse in Keel. Western Light Art Gallery also in Keel, currently showcasing the work of Padraig McCaul - Irish Paintings. I cant confirm the opening times of each gallery but, if they are closed be sure and return another day. Seashore Gallery in The Chalet Seafood Restaurant, Keel has an extensive collection of prints, paintings, beach glass, drift wood also individually designed jewellery. Ronan Halpin Gallery, Keel is a very talented artist and can be clearly seen in his pieces. Liam Kelly,Achill Bogwood Sculptures will be at The Yellow Lady Design Centre from 2pm today, with lots of crafts available from various artists. Redfoxpress, Ireland in Dugort, easily found by the big red fox painting on the wall, as posted in an earlier post, if just to experience a true original Achill Cottage but Im sure you will leave with something you can treasure for years to come. For everything Achill there is 100% Achill in Keel by the beach, stocked to the roof of all local produce. Tshirts, soaps, pictures and many many more. To err is human but to forgive is divine. If there is someone I have left out, please let me know and I will include them immediately.
