Day 23 after Yolanda: Heres the truth about TACLOBAN: It is down - TopicsExpress

Day 23 after Yolanda: Heres the truth about TACLOBAN: It is down to rock bottom; NO SENSE OF NORMALCY! I mean NONE at all! Most of the international press have left; very few of the PNP deployed personnel from other regions are there to augment the local police force to maintain peace and order; RELIEF GOODS are NOWHERE to be found; people are hungry and angry and almost hopeless. I hope the government is done with politicking. PEOLE ARE DYING, not of the storm but of its aftermath. Very few establishments are open for business but it is still a far cry from any sense of normalcy. Tacloban needs help from the international community; lets not push them back by claiming normalcy in whatever sense. The least we can do is to tell the world the truth; let the President and his cohorts downplay the damage and the number of casualties- for whatever selfish and wicked and unscrupulous reasons they might have! But for Taclobans sake- let us tell the truth! We need help; the billions in world aid has not reached us; the relief goods come in trickle and replaced/repacked at the whims and caprices of the people who are supposed to be protecting the basic rights of the citizens. Let us measure the sense of normalcy in a larger scope and not based on whats going on in our own backyards! Contrary to what Mar Roxas said, the WORST is far from over, it has just begun!
