Day 4: Saigon rest day. Went to Vietnams tallest building, The Bitexco Tower with the lovely Hoai Phuong. Nice skybar on the 51st floor, or 52nd I forget. Beer was 150,000. Completely empty during midday! But a great 360 degrees view of a city of 10 million people, where I lived and worked for a year. Can you spot any of the famous landmarks? Got my VND all changed into dollars, so I have a maximum budget $500 per country. Couldnt find a place to fix or clean my motorbike though because... Today (2/9) was the 69th anniversary of Uncle Hos declaration of independence for Vietnam. A national holiday. So in the evening watched an impressive firework show from a rooftop bar on Bui Vien, the infamous backpacker street.
