Day: 5 Pray4Bhutan & Pray4Saudi BHUTAN, SOUTH ASIA According to Bhutan’s Election Commission, the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won Bhutan’s parliamentary elections. Over 80 percent of eligible voters turned out for Bhutan’s second election since 2008. With the election of the PDP, it is believed ties with neighboring India will be strengthened. Praise God for a peaceful election in Bhutan. Pray for a smooth transition of power as the new leadership takes over. Pray for Bhutanese Christian Believers to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the nation (The Bible, Acts 5:42). SAUDI ARABIA, ARABIAN PENINSULA On account of its geographic location and the amount of sunlight Saudi Arabia receives, the government plans to generate one-third of their power needs from solar power. Pray that Christian Believers who are connected to the solar power industry will use this to take the Good News of Jesus Christ into Saudi Arabia. Pray that this solar project will help not only to reduce the carbon footprint but also to improve the life of Saudis. Pray for the light of the Son of God to fill the hearts of the people of Saudi Arabia (The Bible, 1 John 1:6-8).
