Day 79 in the NICU. Well, lets just say that I have had a great day. I gained 55 grams for a total of 4 pounds 15.4 ounces. The nurse told Mommy to bring up my newborn clothes cause my Preemie clothes are getting a little snug. Im so close to 5 pounds. I bet I will get there before Monday. Mommy and Daddy decided that since I no longer need my preemie clothes, that they would donate them to the NICU. The nurses were so happy to get some new clothes for other babies. My parents talked to the doctor today and he wants to keep me a few more days to make sure I keep gaining weight and continue to bottle feed. Im doing great on both, but we all understand the importance. I cant not thank youall enough for praying for me everyday and helping me through this. I know Prayers, God, my guardian Angels and my fight for life is why I am still here. I may be small, but Im going to be mighty!!! I got to wear my first newborn outfit today, what do you think about it? My Mommy was a ballerina so she thought this was perfect for me. Mommy gave me my first bath with no help tonight. I just LOVE bath time. I cant wait to be able to stretch out in the tub and splash away. I love the water. My eyes are still crystal blue, so my parents are hoping they stay that way. Mommy really wants me to have Daddies eyes. She thinks he has beautiful eyes. I would have to agree (he is my Daddy). Im on a new schedule at the hospital now. I eat when I want to eat and as much as I want to eat. I cant go longer than 4 hours though. Today, I have been drinking 60 ccs, thats a lot!!! Well, its book reading and snuggle time, so until tomorrow, much love, Gabriella Marie.
