Day 86 of AD 2014, #WordFromCurtis is: LIVING THE DIVINE LIFE (epistle 4 - be d foolish person ur Boss in Heaven requires) If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also. - Luke 6:29 I once walked pass a beauty salon & witnessed smth funny, in fact stupid. Two smartly uniformed ladies stood in front of d salon & kept saluting every person who walked past, whether mad or sane. It puzzled me & d only conclusion I drew ws maybe its a strategy to attract more clients. But I wsnt convinced. I went der d nxt day & saw another lady in d same manner, so I inquired & ws told THEY WERE ACTING THAT WAY cos its an order frm their trainer. I learnt daz hw she punished punctuality offending apprentices. Its so embarrassing but daz an order frm d boss. To really live life divine, many of our actions & reactions will seem abnormal & absurd to non-believing & baby believer neighbours. But daz wht our boss Jesus orders & we ought not deem ourselves wise in our own eyes. *imagine turning d other cheek to someone u cud easily beat up *imagine giving out ur favorite shirt to smone whos stolen ur new suit HOW STUPID UD LOOK, in d eyes ur relations. But its this stupid sort that Jesus uses to confound d wise of d world There r a new crop believers who for d fear of being tagged FOOLS hv perverted scriptures. Its sad to hear a believer say, the fact dat I serve Jesus doesnt mean Im stupid ooo. If u push Ill push back. Ei, do u know wht dat implies? Thats to say d scripture above is stupid. We wanna BE LIKE Christ but fail to LIVE LIKE Christ. Why shd some of His rules disgust us? U simply cant live d divine life without satisfying divine rules. Mahatma Gandhi said, an eye for an eye makes d whole world blind. Yet believers sadly practise dat. Moses in desperation instituted d law of holy retaliation but Christ abolished it. Thats d diff btn divine living & mortal living. Love for an eye, forgiveness for a tooth. Daz d only way to turn d coldest of our adversaries to Christ.
