Dear America, Just so you aware, Les Misèrables is not good. If you feel otherwise, youre Les Misguided, née, Les Misinformed. Im not referring to the current Broadway company. Nor am I referring to the book. Im simply referring to the giant, steaming pile of moist self-pity that is the play itself. Its hideous. We should all be spared its accolades, its merely a series of incomprehensible events set to music. Its rubbish. Slop. Its designed to confuse simpletons into thinking they are watching art happen. It is the opposite of art. It is anti-art. Its not even entertaining as spectacle. Its dreary, dingy heap if rags with vibrato. Darius in the play Jeffery, sums it up best: Les Mis? I never did get that show. Its about this French guy, right? Who steals a loaf of bread, and then suffers for it for the rest of his life. For toast. Get over it! I say here, here!!
