Dear Coaches / Instructors / Sportsmen / Sportswomen, We are pleased to invite you to the biggest competition in Romania, which will take place from 16-17.11.2013 in Bucharest. Now reached its 9th edition, the competition has grown year after year, with over 800 competitors in 2012. This year we have over 450 categories to choose from on the following disciplines: kickboxing, traditional karate, full contact karate and muay thai. We look forward with enthusiasm, eager to raise the level and the quality of the competition and this year. We will also do our best to give you the most beautiful prizes, better organization and much more. So no matter what style you practice, accept the challenge and come to show what you can do! I. Please be careful and go to the podium. IV. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT KICKBOXING SEMI CONTACT · Equipment: semi contact gloves, foot gears, shin protections, headguard, groin guard (not required for girls), breast protection, mouthguard. · Uniform: long kickboxing pants or kimono pants, kickboxing or martial arts shirt. The belt is allowed. It is also allowed the name or the logo of the club and the sponsor. Casual shirts are not allowed. KICKBOXING LIGHT CONTACT · Equipment: 10 Oz gloves (for all ages and categories), foot gears, shin protections, headguard, groin guard (not required for girls), breast protection, mouthguard, handwraps. · Uniform: long kickboxing pants or kimono pants, kickboxing or martial arts shirt. The belt is not allowed. It is also allowed the name or the logo of the club and the sponsor. Casual shirts are not allowed. KICKBOXING KICK LIGHT · Equipment: 10 Oz gloves (for all ages and categories), foot gears, shin protections, headguard, groin guard (not required for girls), breast protection, mouthguard, handwraps. · Uniform: short kickboxing pants, kickboxing or martial arts shirt. The belt is not allowed. It is also allowed the name or the logo of the club and the sponsor. Casual shirts are not allowed and neither shorts with muay thai inscriptions. TRADITIONAL KUMITE · Equipment: Tsuki or Punch gloves, shin protections, groin guard (not required for girls), breast protection, mouthguard, and headguard (for some categories). · Uniform: kimono and belt. It is also allowed the name or the logo of the club and the sponsor. KUMITE KNOCK DOWN · Equipment: MMA gloves, shin protections with instep, groin guard (not required for girls), breast protection, mouthguard (for some categories). · Uniform: kimono and belt. It is also allowed the name or the logo of the club and the sponsor. MUAY THAI · Equipment: 12 Oz gloves, shin protections with instep, groin guard (not required for girls), mouthguard, headguard, breast protection, elbow guard. · Uniform: muay thai short and muay thai shirt. It is also allowed the name or the logo of the club and the sponsor. Each club is responsible for the equipment of their athletes, so that they correspond to the rules of the discipline they attend. If the athlete appears at the fighting area with inadequate equipment, he will be disqualified. V. RULES The competition will be held under the regulations issued by the Romanian Federation of Freestyle Kickboxing. For details see frfk.ro. Each club is required to bring a referee or judge (qualified by FRFK). The clubs that don’t bring judges or referees will pay 100 lei (for the clubs with up to 10 athletes) or 150 lei (for clubs with over 10 athletes). Starting the 1st of November, tickets can be ordered and paid and picked at the weigh-in. Also, the bracelets for athletes and coaches will also be picked up at the scale. To be valid, at the day of the competition the bracelets have to be put on the hand when you enter the room. Otherwise, you will pay the ticket. VII. AWARDS · For 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded trophies and diplomas, except for the categories: o Semi teams – which will be awarded diplomas, medals and trophy for the best team. o Grand Champion – which will be awarded diplomas and medals and belt for winning Grand Champion. · For the club with the most results there will be awarded the Judgement Day sword, as it follows: o For semi contact category o For light contact category o For kick light category o For traditional and musical form categories o For kumite knock down category o For muay thai category VIII. ENTERING THE COMPETITION For better organization please complete the Annex 1 and send it at [email protected], no later than the 11th of November. After this day we don’t allow registrations, especially on the day of competition. The subscription shall be accompanied by a copy of the ID card, passport or birth certificate for each player registered. Competitors may enter any category they want without any restrictions. It also may enroll in higher weight class and juniors (16-18 years) can fight also in seniors categories (19-45 years). Documents required to weigh-in: · A paper where are listed all the athletes and signed by the coach to show that they belong to that club · Insurance · Medical visa not older than 6 months Please let us know the day of your arrival and the way of transport so that we can arrange the transfer to the hotel if you need. IX. ACCOMMODATION Those who want accommodation are asked to send an email to [email protected] with the number of people, the date of arrival and the departure, to receive the best offer. X. VISA Those who want an official invitation for visa, are invited to submit as soon as possible a table with all the names of the members of the delegation, and their passport number at [email protected]
