Dear Friends and Patrons of SKYLINE DRIVE-IN, Our drive-in has been serving Barstow and the High Desert Community and surrounding areas for nearly 50 years. However, at the end of this year, movie studios will stop distributing movies on 35mm film. Theaters must switch to digital projection to stay in business. Each projector is $75,000 and we have two screens at Skyline that must be converted. We are struggling with this financial hurdle. Honda Motor Co is donating 5 of these projectors to drive-ins through a program called PROJECT DRIVE-IN. It is a contest in which the Drive-Ins that receive the most votes from the public will win the projectors. We at Skyline Drive-In have entered this contest....
