Dear God- Even when those I love or trust the most disappoint me and let me down, still I will trust you. Even when I walk in fear and uncertainty because of my circumstances, still I will trust you. Even when I hurt emotionally and have no desire to even breathe, still I will trust you. Even when the doctor says it’s bad news or my employer says I no longer matter, still I will trust you. Even when I don’t think I can put one step in front of the other and carry on, still I will trust you. Even when I’m filled with fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, sorrow or grief, still I will trust you. Because I know that one day my life will be over and I will be free from all the pain and strife of daily living. And it is then…especially then…that I will trust you, not for the moment, not for the day, not just for the circumstance, but for eternity. And that makes it all worthwhile....
