Dear New Song Family, Several years ago Lori and I enrolled in Dave Ramsay’s Financial Peace University and eliminated $35,000 worth of debt in 11 ½ months. Since then I’ve come to see that debt is a subtle but destructive force in every relationship it touches. I want to do what I can to help you get out of debt this year. Financial pressures are the #1 cause of marital dissatisfaction and divorce. Debt causes a daily burden to everyone who has some. It restricts joy, giving, and freedom to help others. This coming Tuesday (Jan. 22, 6:30 p.m.), New Song will start a nine week FPU class that will help you reduce your financial burdens rapidly. Ramsay charges $93 for the class. That’s a small amount for the help you’ll receive, but it can seem like a large amount if you’re counting every penny. I’m afraid some New Songers will hesitate to enroll because of the $93. As long as you’ve done the work Dave asks, if it’s not working for you, I’ll write you a check. I’m praying that at least 100 New Songers will begin the journey to financial freedom this week.
