Dear Sir ty for the add Mike. Finally I found a PTSD just for veterans. Im a combat veteran. I saw my combat in Mogadishu, Somolia ; thats in the eastern horn of Africa. I was there in 93. I officially fell under the 10th Mountain Infantry Div. I came home 3 weeks before the 75th Ranger Battalion was engaged in what was to become known as Blackhawk Down. I was in several firefights and took and returned small arms fire on almost daily basis. I should not be here but by the man upstairs I believe. I survived a live close encounter with a grenade. It didnt go off and E.O.D. had to manually detonate with det cord n C4 charges. I live with daily reminders of that hell on earth place. To this day crowds cause me great anxiety. I wonder about how I could get in touch with a ptsd dog group. I have looked online for anything even remotely in my area and no results yet. I have heard and seen good results with companion ptsd dogs. Anyone know where to find out about these programs? I could really use the help. I have tried the VA and big surprise lol no help there or even a look of care on their part. Just a combat veteran trying to hang in there :-(
