Dear TVP supporters, I want to outline, for members new and old, why group bails are just not possible for TVP at present and to ask for your understanding and support. Sharon presently already has 60+ horses in her care at two different yards. Whilst a few of these are homed, just awaiting transport ( 10) and the new owners are paying for their keep, some are not ready for re homing and some are group bails that are still not homed, have no donations for their keep and rely on your generous monthly donations to keep them going until homes can be found. The monthly outgoings for these non- funded horses is around €6000 per month, this is excluding vet treatments, which many need. Monthly donations are currently around 1000 to 1500 on a good month :-( The consequences of this are easy to see, already there is a huge financial shortfall to care for the horses already saved until they are rehomed. The numbers are simple but its not about numbers, its about horses. Saving horses that are not homed or not funded until they can be homed not only puts those horses at risk but also all the others TVP currently care for. If TVP cant pay for these unfunded horses, it ceases to exist, end of. This group has huge positive energy. Please..... can we pull together to save AND HOME these new horses at risk, but please, think also about those already saved..... If TVP are put under too much financial stress, having to take on group bailed horses that are not homed with insufficient ongoing financial support, not only will these new horses be in danger we are also condemning perhaps Evie, Lazaro ( whom you all supported to get this far!) these fillys and all the others too, back to the slaughterhouse. I would ask you to share, donate, adopt if you can but please understand, we are not being heartless about the group bails, quite the opposite, we cant bear to think of the consequences for those who already believed they were safe to have their chance snatched away. Please guys, we are asking for positive support, lets do all we can to find forever homes for these poor souls but in a way that means TVP continues to exist, to help others in the future.
