Dear friends, My youngest son was involved in a hit and run accident saturday night and in surgical intensive care at Mobile Infirmary. His right leg was amputated above the knee, his left tibia and fibia are broken at the ankle and the will operate on that next week. His butt bone is broken and we think his right shoulder is dislocated but are awaiting the results of the x rays taken today. We are still waiting for them to do an MRI and CT scan. He is running a slight fever today but was able to talk in sentences and even crack his first joke. I am asking for your prayers. By Gods grace he is alive...the doctors say they dont know how or why but I do - we are Blessed. Hannah Howard has set up a go fund me account to help in paying the medical bills and etc for the long recovery ahead (I would put the link here but I cant find it..lol). There are also several benefits being planned by friends to help out. If you have anything to donate as a door prize etc it would be appreciated. At this point anything would help. We are asking that friends post on here until he is better, in a room and up for company. I can not find the words to describe how wonderful his friends have been, Toni PrincessNerd Lee and Ben who beat me to the hospital and stayed all night with us. My sister and her boyfriend who insisted on going to the hospital with me and staying. Jamie his wonderful girlfriend who picked him up and put him in the car and drove from Long Beach MS in less than an hour to get him to the hospital. My oldest son Charles and his fiancee Leslie for their support and strong arms to hold me when I break down. Derrick, Cameron, Will, Micheal T, Miss Regina, Hannah, and many many others. God has truly blessed us with special people in our lives.
