Dear friends, the exercise of continuous registration of Ugandan citizens of 16 years and above for issuance of National Identity Card shall end on Sunday, 11th January 2015. All Ugandan citizens of 16 years and above who have not yet registered are advised to do so during the ongoing registration exercise which is based at the sub counties across the country. In Kampala Capital City and the municipalities across the country, continuous registration is going on at centers based at the parish/ward level. Please contact your respective local leaders for more information on the registration exercise in your sub county or parish. Please note that the registration of Ugandan citizens for purposes of issuance of National Identity Cards will not be conducted after the 11th day of January 2015. The National Identity Card is a long awaited intervention in addressing the challenge of citizen identification in Uganda. Let us all embrace it! My Country, My Identity!
