Dear members of Nepalese community, We are pleased to announce that Non-Resident Nepali Association-International Coordination Council (NRNA-ICC) President Mr. Shesh Ghale will be visiting North America from 7 August to 25 August 2014. He will be attending NRN-Canada Conference in Vancouver and interactions and fundraising dinner events in several major cities across the continent. President Ghale will also be attending Open University of Nepal Planning Meetings with the representatives of Athabasca University and California State University. Meetings with other stakeholders such as Gates Foundation, Microsoft Corporation, Government representatives, UN bodies etc have also been scheduled. Now that the NRNA is an officially registered organization, and with it getting mature with a strong world-wide network in 69 countries, the current ICC has taken up the challenge of taking concrete steps towards establishing NRNA Building in Kathmandu, Nepal. The initiative is led by none other than the current President Mr. Ghale. Consequently, a global fundraising effort has begun, with a goal of 150 million Rs. (15 Crore) and with a target of laying foundation stones during the NRN Day celebration in October 2014. Among the main objectives of his visit is to mobilize the NRNs in North America towards raising funds for this project. You are cordially invited to an interaction cum fundraising dinner with Mr. Ghale on Saturday, 16th of August, 2014 at Patio Banquet Hall, 15 Gervais Dr, North York, ON M3C 1Y8 (Tel: 416 449-0404). Individual registration fee is $25 until 8 pm on Friday, 15th of August and $30 thereafter. The event will include interaction, Q and A session, a brief cultural program, and dinner.
