Dear mummies, I would like to ask about the use of nipple shield. About a month ago, I hurt my nipple and areola due to excessive pumping and incorrect size of breast shield. Both these parts were sore and I cant use a pump nor dl my bb. However to reduce the pain and prevent the friction when dl my lo, I started to use a nipple shield. Currently my nipple and areola have recovered but become a bit sensitive. I tried to dl my lo without the nipple shield but it end up there are some small wound. My question is if I will continue using the nipple shield when dl, will it still able to stimulate my milk production? Actually I dont really want to use the nipple shield. Hope to get some advices from you all. TIA 😊
