Dear rescuers, Fosterers or people who may wish to rescue or foster. There are too many strays that need helps but too few premises to house them pending adoption or recuperation. This is what I would suggest to you. If you are staying on a landed property, look around, may it be the back of the house, a corner of the garden, an empty land opposite the house, a small area outside the gate, even a bath room etc there must be a small area you can make used of to temporary house a pup/dog or two while looking for a home for them. You can 1. Get a cage ( 3x3x3), big enough for a medium size dog. 2. Build a make shift or permanent hut or enclosure. If you need guidance on this, pm me. If youre staying in an apartment or condo. You can foster too for a period of one to two weeks, if ever neighbors complain, tell them its just for few days. In most cases, the pup/kitten is adopted before the neighbors even know it or before they make a complain. Concentrating on one or two rescue/s at a time, when one out , one in. Dont bite more than you can chew! The danger is that you will most probably give up after a short period of time. And stay focus, help your rescue/s first before you help others ( unless its within your ability). Remember, when we help, we help from the day of rescue to the day they are rehomed. It may takes some time. But if you persevere, they will find a home eventually. If more people do this, theres much hope for the strays. The question here is whether or not you can, its whether or not you want to. All the best.
