Dear sir/madam I am writing this email because I was in town today walking as I walked past McDonalds (in Oldham town centre) my coat got caught on a post, when I looked at my coat where it got caught their was a large amour of paint on the inside of my jacket then I looked for a wet paint sign and their was no indication of one at all so me and my friend looked for a employee to ask them why they do not have any wet paint signs and didnt get a reply the reply was cant you smell the paint or see us painting, I replied why would I be looking for someone who is painting or look for wet paint on a object, as Im pretty sure not having a wet paint sign is against Heath and safety regulations. Anyway the employee walked me and my friend down the street to were they had the tools and paint and chemicals, he put a sprit on a cloth and tried wiping away the paint effectively trying to remove the green paint but this has not worked as it spread the paint in my jacket also worsening the stain, this sprit may have burned my jacket or weakened the material as I know thats the sprit used to remove paint burns and damages clothing ( I know this because I am student of science) also the sprit has caused my jacket to have a foul smell. I am 100% sure their were no wet paint signs where the work was being done, if I do not feel satisfied I will contact my local Heath and safety standards officer to resolve this, I am very unhappy about the situation I have been put in all because you cannot supply the proper training and Heath and safety rules to your staff. Your sincerely Jordan hey I better get a new jacket pricks.
