Dearest of Friends: Kathy and I are extremely excited to announce to you that we have become grandparents for the second time in eight months. Our oldest daughter Mollie and her husband Chris became parents on Friday morning, November 7, at 5:24 AM to Ellie Kathleen (Kate) Rose. Our little granddaughter weighed in at 8 lbs. 6 oz and is 20 inches long. We will post a few pictures in the near future. The labor was quite intense for a short while for Mollie and Ellie and though there were no complications which were considered life-threatening, there were a few complications. Because of that Mollie is extremely exhausted and in some pain which will all clear up, we feel certain, with a few days of quiet rest. With that said, Mollie and Chris would love you to know that they are tremendously grateful and thankful for all of you and your outpouring of love, prayers, and special sentiments. However, we graciously request that Mollie and Ellie are given some time to fully recover and adjust before visits are made. They asked me to make this request as lovingly as I possibly could for fear of offending any of you that they so much love and appreciate.
