December 1 – 6, 2014 proclaimed as BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS WEEK in the City of Lakeland! The Big Brothers Big Sisters agency here in Polk County has impacted the lives of literally thousands of local children who are facing adversity by providing strong and enduring professionally supported, one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better. Tthe children in the program, called ‘Littles’ are less likely to be involved in the Juvenile Justice system and more likely to graduate to the next level. Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who make this program such a success.
