Delilah has not come to build the vision..... Yes beloved believe it or not, Delilah has not come to build the vision but to destroy it. When Samson fell for Delilah, it marked the beginning of his downfall and eventual demise. The relationship between Samson and Delilah must have been known in the community. That’s why The Philistines came to her, asking her to discover Samson’s secret in exchange for money. Using her powers of seduction and deception, Delilah persistently wore down Samson with her repeated requests, until he finally divulged the crucial information. Read, Judges 16. You see Delilah does not really need to be a woman or indeed a man. Your Delilah can be a habit, an addiction, a secret sin that nobody else knows but you. Notice 3 things. 1. Delilah must have been beautiful She must have been ka mpopo for real. It puzzles me… No it annoys me…I mean it should have been clear to Samson that Delilah wanted to kill him, because she had made previous attempts to do so. A whole Strong guy, Mr Universe, 6 pack (not one pot belly pack like me) a judge, Set apart by God. Why sure! Sin comes in attractive bane. Think of any sin right now …it’s always convenient and beautiful. 2. Delilah was persistent. The bible says in Verse 16 of the same chapter ‘With such nagging she prodded him day after day until he was sick to death of it.’ Has sin knocked at your door so many times ‘Chipesha Amono’ that you felt sick? Av been there. You think about her more than you do your wife, you think about her more than you do your work….sick to death of it. 3. The enemy went straight for his eyes. WAIT! Brother Samson never beat them with his eyes. He didn’t use his eyes to carry the heavy gate of kill thousands with a jaw bone. Why menso? The very part that the man uses for his vision. The very part with which he sees the enemy. Listen The enemy wants to shut all possibilities of you moving forward in your vision. He really wants to stop you at all costs. Counsel 1. Never lose sight of God in the vision.(Marriage, Career, Ministry, Project etc)(Hebrews 12:2-3) 2. Don’t get entangles with the sin that so easily trips you. (Hebrews 12:1) 3. Don’t let sin master you.(Romans 6:12) 4. Keep your eye on the vision Brother, Sister, watch out for Delilah, she has not come to help the vision but to destroy the vision.
