Tad cold where I am, I dont know about you, but as far as Im concerned we can go back to mater growing weather. Over this past week I have received more questions, people wanting or seeking help about demons, then I ever have in my life. It occurred to me that due to movies, main stream churches will not touch this one with a ten foot pole. Well now, let them be the daisy! Were gonna go head long at this sucker! Yes its true, most mainstream churches will not touch the discussion of demons. I think out of fear of being made fun of. Well lets clear this little matter up right now. They can be afraid of being mocked for saying the truth and not say it, all they want. The Bible says they will get mocked for saying the truth. Demons are real! Demons are not in hell, right now, they are right here on earth. And were gonna cover these basics tonight in this Bible study. If demons were not real, than that would mean that Jesus and the Apostles were liars, when they cast them out, ever think about that? So, lets begin with some God proof of these demons, which are fallen angels, in Gods Word. Isaiah 14:12 Amplified Bible (AMP) 12 How have you fallen from heaven, O [a]light-bringer and daystar, son of the morning! How you have been cut down to the ground, you who weakened and laid low the nations [O blasphemous, satanic king of Babylon!] Revelation 9:1 Amplified Bible (AMP) 9 Then the fifth angel blew [his] trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth; and to the angel was given the key [a]of the shaft of the Abyss (the bottomless pit). Here we see, the fall of satan and the angels from heaven. Both the prophet and the Christ are telling you, they fell to earth. On a side note, sometimes I wonder if this is the wormwood poison? Why all the stories of them being in hell, other than people dont really read the Bible, I have no idea. Makes some great movies though and some good books. And if you think these adversaries are just hanging out, waiting on the time when God opens up His judgement throne and castes them into the pit of hell, you know just chillin on earth, type thing, you are very foolish. Lets look at a couple of verses that give us some idea what these demonic forces are doing on earth, right now. Job 1:7 Amplified Bible (AMP) 7 And the Lord said to Satan, From where did you come? Then Satan answered the Lord, From going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it. 1 Peter 5:8 Amplified Bible (AMP) 8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [[a]in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Now we see what the horn headed boogers are up to. Basically they are out to destroy your faith. They will introduce harshness, sickness, and any manner of disturbance in your life, to bring you displeasure, stopping at nothing and using everything. From your finances to your children anything to lead you away from God. Demonic possession is not a grand Hollywood production, but I say this, its a simple as listening to and doing what they say, when they whisper in your ear. Then no longer is Christ Jesus your Lord, rather, they are. And as Christ said, no man can serve two masters, he will love one and hate the other. I have yet another verse that supports this, and shows what God wants for you, but to take Gods road you must be willing to tell a demon to go to hell, you must be willing to accept that from time to time they will be trying you. See, its this simple, God loves you and when they separate you from God, it hurts God. They dont care about you, one way or another. You are just a tool they are using right now to attack God. Now my new verse, I call it a transition verse. We switch over from what the demon wants for us, to what God wants for us. John 10:10 Amplified Bible (AMP) 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows). Now, we are not defenseless, fasting, prayer when needed, calling on the name of the Lord, I would suggest to keep a positive in your life, anything negative is trying to drag you down, and we know where that comes from, the thief. We are very much in a war with these demonic forces and the only people safe from their test are the people they already defeated and all ready have. But they are beatable. Luke 10:17-19 Amplified Bible (AMP) 17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name! 18 And He said to them, I saw Satan falling like a lightning [flash] from heaven. 19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. In closing, we can see, demons are very real, they can whisper to you, how good a drug is, or to lie, cheat. and steal to obtain wealth. Bring all manner of heart ache into your life not just directly at you, but by using the loved ones around you, family and friends. They were defeated in Heaven and they were defeated at the Cross. Even though they lie about both of those defeats, why do you care about their lies? Stand on the truth of God and the Greater that lives in you, that has told you this. (Good Night) Psalm 91 Amplified Bible (AMP) 1 He who [a]dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! 3 For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. 4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. 8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, 10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent. 11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. 12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot. 14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never]. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.
