Despite the claims of principled conservatism theorists, political conservatism has consistently been found to be related to racism, ethnocentrism, and generalized xenophobia. This pattern is so robust that it has been found even among the intellectually sophisticated, in numerous countries not sharing Americas particular history of racism (such as Holland, New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, France, Germany, Sweden, Japan, and Korea), and most profoundly in Sweden, an ethnically homogenous country that has little experience with more than one race.
