Did you know that there are nearly 40,000 real estate agents that belong to the Toronto Real Estate Board? An estimated 78% of these agents are part time agents. The perception is that becoming an agent is easy and you can make a lot of money selling homes. The problem is that these part time agents never gain the expertise needed to competently service their clients. Jack of all Trades, Master of none. To be an expert in any field, you need to focus all your time and attention to becoming the expert in that field. Theres so much to the real estate industry to take in that you need to concentrate on educating yourself everyday about new trends (local and global), demographics, economics, vacancy rates, mortgage rates, etc. Would you trust a part time agent to take care of your largest investment?
