Do Ghana really need a ministry purposely for transportation? Seriously, besides licensing and other regulatory functions, what at all does the Minister of Transportation do on daily basis? Road tolls are collected bt Road Ministry, maintenance and all other related works on roads is done by the road ministry!! Ghana govt do not operate any extended bus system, we dont have school buses, STC is collapsed, OSA is gone and TATA bus is no more! We have only one scruffy-smelly international airport with its own management and board of directors that includes a radio disc jockey, Alhassan Suhuyini, so why do we need a sector Minister with a deputy??? Another useless Ministry is Local govt and rural development! There 275 DCE/MCEs plus ten regional ministers, however someone in Accra if responsible for rural development! Where are these rural areas? In heaven?
