Do people who gripe about keeping the Barnett formula know they - TopicsExpress

Do people who gripe about keeping the Barnett formula know they are literally defending inequality? If the UK were federalized and Scotland chose to spend more per head on public services for the people of Scotland, there would be absolutely no issue with that whatsoever. However, is it fair; under the current system, that people in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have more money spent on them, and their children, than the people of England. The region where much of the UKs population live, is it fair that this extra money is denied them, and their own spending cut in order to maintain this subsidy, and to add insult to injury, that this state of affairs has been imposed on them, without their consent! They are now the only people in this country with no real localized representation of their own. Is that fair, is that moral, is that just? Spoiler Alert! In my view, there is no moral argument that can be made against this position, by anyone with a conscience.
