Do you know the best way to pack dishes? Begin by adding a layer of cushioning to the bottom of a sturdy box. You can use white packing paper, bubble wrap, dishtowels, other textiles, or newspapers for dark-colored dishes. Now add the dishes. You might be surprised to find out that the best way to pack dishes is not in a stack on top of each other, but rather on edge. Wrap each dish with padding before you pack it, and add extra padding on the sides and top of the box. Fill up any empty spaces with more padding. Secure the top of the box well with tape, and label it “fragile” so that everyone knows to handle it with care.
