Do you remember Sunshine, the white Maltese mix found on New Year’s Day near Ballarat Road, Sunshine and brought into our shelter by police? Well, Sunshine is now ready to go off to his new home! At 12 years of age (approx.) Sunshine is a lovely little dog but is starting to show some signs of wear and tear. He has had to have most of his teeth removed due to neglect and poor diet and has a fatty lump. Little Sunshine also has a heart murmur but is not showing any signs of heart failure at this stage. As Sunshine is aging he is becoming a little hard of hearing, nonetheless he will make a great companion for someone who can meet his needs. Sunshine is currently a little overweight and will need a carefully controlled diet to help him maintain a healthy weight to help reduce stress on his heart and joints.
