Do you want to learn the hard lessons with the help of others or - TopicsExpress

Do you want to learn the hard lessons with the help of others or do you want to learn them alone? Do you want to learn the hard lessons sooner or later? Do you want to learn the hard lessons when you have gone so far down the dark path that you need to fall hard to realize the truth or would you want to learn the hard lessons early so that you can be prepared and willing to be picked back up? I am only sharing the Word that I know has saved me from this path, I have fallen hard and wish I had known the light to show me earlier on that I was going the wrong way. I share the Word of God because I know it to be true and want to protect others from realizing it far later than they should have like me. These are not ideals that I have dreamed up myself but what has been shown and spoken to me by my Savior and Father. Sure you don’t mind when someone says that they will pray for you or don’t mind hearing that God loves you, but the second you feel like you are being convicted, even justly, you instantly turn to hate and become self-defensive. “Self” is what I want to emphasize, I am not trying to spread God’s Word for my benefit but for the benefit of those around me because I love them and I am glad in what he has done for me, not because I am obligated to do so by a laundry list of requirements to “earn” my salvation, because following Jesus is not a “works” relationship. You do not have to “do” anything through works to earn his grace. His grace is freely and lovingly given to you and his love to there for you always. The only thing that he asks is for you to repent and turn from your sin. He asks for you to just give up your selfishness, your hate, your mistrust, to just surrender yourself to Him, all because he wants you to know Him as your Father and wants you to know you are his son or daughter and to grow intimately close in a relationship with you. Selfishness, hate, mistrust, and misinformation are causes of most of our problems that we create ourselves and when we surrender ourselves to follow Him, we have no desire for these things and He will take them away to replace them with his holy forgiveness, love, trust, faithfulness, direction, and grace. If you think that love is giving you everything that “you” want just because you want it and just to only say that you are doing very well and just spoil you in everything, then I am sorry to disappoint you. Love is nudging you back on the right path when you linger and stumble in your confusion and stumble in the maze we put ourselves in when we are looking everywhere but to the light above. Love is giving you constructive criticism to ultimately benefit you and others through you in eternity. Love is telling the harsh truth so that you can start to see without a shroud over your eyes. When we say stubbornly that no one can control your life but you, then what you are really doing is rejecting the assistance that is all around you and just walking in the dark, with no guarantee of what your actions will bring and unaware of the suffering you may bring upon yourself or others.
