Doda Road Mishap Naeem Akhtar visits injured at SKIMS =>Member Legislative Council and Chief Spokesperson Peoples Democratic Party visited five persons from Doda, who were critically injured in a road mishap, at SKIMS, here on Tuesday. On the advice of Party Patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and President Mehbooba Mufti, the party spokesperson personally met all the injured, undergoing treatment at SKIMS here and enquired about their well being. Akhtar also interacted with the doctors in order to know about the health status of the injured passengers. He wished them all a speedy recovery. Later in a statement, Akhtar said that the recurrent road mishaps across the state in general and Chenab Valley in particular were matter of grave concern and there was urgent need to formulate short term and long term measures in order to curb the menace. He said that government should have also ensured availability of specialist doctors at the district headquarters of Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar in order to meet such emergencies. It is irony that the hospitals at the district levels have been turned into referral units without even the basic facilities to provide treatment to trauma patients, he said.
