Does anyone know what organization might have resources to support a prospective immigrant from mexico complete their application to come to canada (under the skilled or TFW program?). Basically, someone who can act like an immigration consultan/lawyer but for free (or minimal fee) and with solid advice. Does such a person exist? The organizations i am familiar with are typically better versed at supporting immigrants who are already here and who are applying for permanent residency or citizenship rather than actual entry into canada. This individual who is looking for resources has been through alot (is an accepted refugee from columbia in mexico and looking to leave because his situation in mexico also insecure). i have a friend who is currently working for an NGO in mexico who is looking to connect this gentlemen to helpful resources. His status as an accepted refugee in mexico makes him ineligible to apply for refugee status here (as far as I know, anyway). If you have any useful websites/people/organizational connections let me know :)
