Dog murdered by reckless rookie SDPD my two dogs were out front playing with the neighbors dog a cop pull up apparently thinking they were fighting, he was sdpd i live in lemon grove he was out of jurisdiction two neighbors and myself from different directions screaming dont shoot the cop pulled his gun pointed toward the dogs the neighbor with the dog mine were playing with dropped her leash running her dog right with her, my one dog stopped playing of corse since the other dog ran off with her owner my dog was 14yo, blind and toothless she sat waiting for her 10yo daughter since danni led her around safely the neighbors loved watching them, the officer even when dog sat and the other did nothing at all, he wallked up to my blind dog and shot twice at point blank range after he shot the mom the daughter stood there just waiting on her mom to guide her home but she was dead. Then the officer turned and shot the daughter. neighbors were fuming at the total disregard of safety kids parents were all over i went to grab danni and the officer pointed his gun toward me and said dont leave the scene. I could only ignore him and rushed to emergency. As i was leaving neighbors were in the officers face screaming they were playing you shot a blind dog with no teeth. When i returned danni was in surgery, the group overheard the officer say the dog was attacking a human everyone almost at once called him a liar danni lived the bullet entered from bottom of rib cage traveled between rib cage and vital organs and blew out her armpit the exit wound was the size of a baseball the lemon grove PD were there and they handled the situation caused by sdpd very professionally they were terribly sorry told me they dont know what he was thinking, they said thinking something. But they dont know what. I also was given a claim number to pay all vet bills ( RIP Pepper you were and always will be a special part of our family.) We love you
