Doueyi Dominic Fiderikumo wrote: Sometimes, I have compassion for Jonathan and other times, he simply makes me sick. My compassion for him arises from the fact the he since the assumption of the exulted office, is yet to come out of the shock of his position - the shock of his good luck. Like a child he has remained wrapped in his gift - the raphsodies of power. On the other hand, he makes me sick because he is profoundly naive and does not understand the art of power, its deployment and effective use. He picks up a fight where he should not and does not consider the capital he burns in the process and what he gets in return. He lacks strategy and critical thinking. Rarely will he bother to ask the question, this mission I am embarking on: to what end and what do I gain out of it. Scriptures say a wise master builder, is the one who counts the cost before embarking on it. But he is not and the result are glaring to all, as Patrick Obahiagbon would say audible to the deaf and visible to the blind. The result is the waning influence of presidential power; the rapidly declining fortunes of his party, a party that is riddled with deep pockets of crises across the country all under his watch. The house (party) he inherited upon the painful death of YarAdua has experienced the greatest decline since her founding. Only a vagabond would preside over the liquidation of his property. Devoid of vision and the compelling conviction to leave a positive legacy behind, Jonathan presides over Nigeria like an area boy. He is only concerned about holding onto power and the consequences of this on the people around him, is wholly not his concern. The mentality is: provided he doesnt get removed from power, the nation can burn for all he cares. The question is: does he think there wont be a day of reckoning. Folks, what I have said may be hash but it is wholly or substantially true. I love Jonathan. It is only he that the Lord loves that he chastises. Open rebuke is better than secret love. If he does not heed the voice of truth and walk its highway, he will suffer the consequences at the appropriate time. At that time, the Akpabio, Abatis and Okupes wont be around to defend him. It is the soul that sins that dies. SELAH.
