Dr. Hassan Maghaireh, BDS MFDS RCS (Edinburgh) , MSc Implants ( Manchester) • Head of The Scientific Committee at the Restorative section at The British Academy of IHmplant & Restorative Dentistry 2013-2015 Dr Maghaireh spent 3 years as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at various UK hospitals, during which he gained his membership (MFDS) at The Royal College of Edinburgh by examination . He then went on to become a staff grade surgeon in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Pinderfield Hospital in Wakefield before starting his MSc in Dental Implants. Hassan trained in the University of Manchester where he has gained his masters degree in dental implants in 2008 winning the prize of clinical presentation. He is a part time clinical lecturer in Dental Implants on the University of Manchester MSc Program, and maintains a private implant referral practice in Leeds, England. Hassan is actively involved in the Oral Health Group of the Cochrane Collaboration and has published systematic reviews on various dental implants related topics. Hassan is The Editorial Director of Smile Dental Journal and he is on the editorial board for the European Journal of Oral Implantology. Besides his intense educational activities within BAIRD, Dr Maghaireh is an accredited clinical mentor for Association of Implant Dentistry- UK , ITI -UK and many various implant systems.
