Dr. Rush is organizing a session on Monday for students who are interested in applying for Graduate School in Psychology this fall. See his message below for more information, and send him an email if you think youll be able to attend! ------------------------------------- Hi Everyone, The psychology department will be hosting an evening session on getting into Graduate School on Monday September 8th at 8pm. The meeting will be held in Baxter 311. This meeting will be focused primarily on those students applying to graduate school this fall. We will be discussing letters of recommendation (and how to ask for them), writing a good personal statement, and some general time management things. While this meeting is geared toward seniors, we encourage anyone interested in applying for graduate school in psychology to attend. I will have folders of information to pass out (some of you will already have these from last semester, if you do feel free to bring it). We would also like to use this time to answer questions that may have come up as you’ve begun your application process. If you haven’t already done so, it would be helpful for you to begin working on a draft of your personal statement. While each schools application asks for something unique it is helpful to have a generic personal statement as a base. Having worked on this prior to the session will help you identify problems you may have and allow you to come prepared with questions. If you know that you will attend this meeting please send Dr. Rush an email!
