Dragged myself in, by what strength was left in my arms, barely - TopicsExpress

Dragged myself in, by what strength was left in my arms, barely able to breathe or see. My glasses would have fogged up more had they not slipped down my nose. Just seconds before I had stepped on top of the water in the rain-tub to clean off my rubber clogs or I might have gone flying on wet leaves in the kitchen. My robe was stuck to my jammies, so I ate my still-warm oatmeal fully dressed & still sweating. Had turned the stove off & stepped outside when I spotted the Russian Olive on (now off) the shed. Seemed like something I should tackle myself instead of begging John to do so after a muddy game of golf (his clubs are gone, so I guess that is where he is). First a handsaw; too entangled in the vinca. Then a shovel; couldnt even find the soil. A well-placed lopper on a root, and leverage on the trunk, and I was home free. Now to schlep the 15ft long bush to the tree-house corner. I will lop some off later when I trim the wild-rose I untangled in the process. Later. Think this was the Saturday we were supposed to put paper bags out by the street full of yard debris. Wonder how much the trash company is dealing with this morning after yesterdays 15 minute windstorm!! I picked up a few sticks in the backyard & added them to the pile I topped off with the Russian Olive. We did not even buy bags.
