Dreams of Hope, our friends in Pittsburgh have created a magical show written and performed by theatriQ. The Fey, the world of the witches, is a world without bodies or divisions, without race, gender, or class. Powerful magic forces have torn a hole in the fabric of this world, leaving it vulnerable to the mortal realm. A young witch stands trial. Can they explain what led to this disaster, and why they cast the Lavender Spell? Public Performances: Friday, December 12 8PM Saturday, December 13 8PM Sunday, December 14 2PM Student Matinee: Friday, December 12 10AM -- email [email protected] for booking information. Transportation support may be available. ****Dreams of Hope will be collecting personal care and hygiene products at all shows, to be contributed to Cathy’s Closet at the Pittsburgh LGBTQ Community Center. Cathys Closet collects and distributes personal care items to members of the community who may have difficulty affording basic necessities: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. We are happy to receive items of any size, as our neighbors have a variety of living situations. We are asking everyone attending a showing of The Lavender Spell to please bring an item – unscented if possible – for the drive. glccpgh.wordpress/get-involved-give-back/cathys-closet/ theatriQ is supported by a residency at Alloy Studios through Kelly Strayhorn Theater, Heinz, PCA, ARAD, and Mukti
