During the time of Rasulullah, the mushrikun worshiped idols. Our idol today is the country. We defend it. We fight for it. The country is our identity. We do what it says is permissible. We keep away from what it prohibits. The mushrikun were taught from young that it is natural to worship idols. We teach our children that is is natural to belong to our country. We forget that legislation is only through what Allah prescribes. We forget that the ummah is a polity by itself. As long as we identify ourselves through our country, we stand in the way of the ummah re-establishing itself. May Allah guide all of us to Him. And only Him.
