Earlier, as I was taking the bath I wont be allowed to take tomorrow night - since Ive been told not to get my torso wet for 24 hours - I wondered how many other women find they cant stop touching the suspicious area after its been found, before they can find out if its malignant or benign. Whenever I change my clothes, bathe, or shower, I cant help but feel for it and wonder if its trying to kill me. I know it wont kill me, even if it turns out to be the dreaded cancer. But undetected, it could. My mom has apparently had the same procedure Im going to have tomorrow. Her stereotactic biopsy was eight years ago. It was nothing. I wish Id known about it before. But it helps now, knowing that she went through this and came out okay.
