Eccleshall Show Saturday August 31st The hard working volunteers who make up the Eccleshall Show committee are pulling out all the stops to ensure that this year’s 66th annual show on Saturday, August 31st is another huge success. The show has always been about family fun and this year will be no exception with Rockwood Dog Display Team heading up the entertainment in the main ring. Also in the main ring will be the ever popular Dave Coe demonstrating his skills with his Jarrovian gun dogs and of course there will be Children’s Sports and home spun fun with the Dog Agility Competition when anyone can enter their pet. The massive Craft and Horticulture Marquee is home to over 100 competition classes. From vegetable growing, cookery and wine making to handicrafts and photography there is something for everyone to enter. Children are especially encouraged to enter their own dedicated classes including this year a vegetable class for under 11’s. The gates open on August 31st at 10.30am. Advance tickets (20% discount) can be purchased online from the show website and from Mr Simms Sweet Shoppe in Eccleshall High Street. Tickets on the day are £8.00 with special rates for families, children and senior citizens. Under five’s are admitted free. Free shuttle bus from Eccleshall town to the showground.
